What’s the difference between the
Ebbe Bond Flange and the VERSA Bond Flange?
Ebbe Bond Flange
Co-molded yellow bonding fabric during production.
For strong connection to surface waterproofing and thin-set.
Co-molded green bonding fabric during production.
For strong connection to surface waterproofing and thin-set.
The Bond Flange is 11 7/8″ in diameter.
Compatible with Schluter, Laticrete, and other surface waterproofed pans.
The VERSA is 10 ½” in Diameter.
Thickness of the of the outer Bond Flange is 9/16in.
There is no breaking or bending resulting in a sturdy shower that will last for years to come.
Thickness of the outer VERSA is 1/4in.
Ideal for an ultra low profile installation.
Bond Flange connects to 2in ABS/PVC waste pipe.
VERSA can connect to 2in ABS/PVC waste pipe with the Waste Pipe Connector (included).
Includes five height adjustments posts for quick installation.
Height Adjustment Posts are used to quickly set the Bond Flange height to match the thickness of the shower pan.
Schluter shower pans do not need the Posts.
Laticrete shower pans need the Posts.
(Use sealant between the VERSA and existing drain.)
This is the easy solution to convert a previous installed clamp collar drain to surface waterproofing without removing the existing drain.
NOTE:
If you attach the VERSA to a clamp collar drain. The mortar bed will be at least an 1½ inch thick under the perimeter of the VERSA.
If you want low profile you will need to remove the existing drain and connect the VERSA to the waste pipe.
Conclusion
If you want to install an Ebbe Drain into Schluter, Laticrete, or other surface waterproofed pans, the Ebbe Bond Flange is your ideal rough-in drain.
If you want to install an Ebbe Drain into an ultra low profile(1/4in) shower.
OR you are remodeling an old mortar bed shower island want to convert it into a surface waterproofed shower.
